Because, while I liked some of the general idea of the Ten minute sketch, design, and color of Damhnait "Bard" Speeling, I wasn't happy with how it came out the first time. Her hair flowed too well, her hat looked relatively normal and her outfit... Screamed "stereotypical".

I also didn't think I showed off Mr Fluffles the cat's personality well enough.


SO! THIS TIME, now that I've had some rest and had more then a little bit of time to work on a design for her, I put some effort into getting Bard to look the way I pictured her: The doofiest Wizardess I've ever seen.

Things changed on Bard:

Her hair is still braided in the back, but the braid is thinner, and her hair is a lot more... Frizzy. She also has sticks and stuff in it, since she lives most of her life on the road.

Her boots are definately made for walking this time.

Her hat.... I love her hat. I WANT her hat. Chinstrap and all.

.. Yes, A Chinstrap. She flies using wind magics, so its either strap it on tight or hold onto it with her hands... Or invest time either chasing it down or buy stock in hats.

Entire outfit. It just SCREAMS "Run down, homemade, Magicians Assistant". Its thread bare and ragged and made of scraps of material like billowy curtains, a random turtleneck with its sleeves cut off, Blue jeans with "Petals" sewn to where the thigh and hips meet, and patches.. And dyed to change colors in spots and be all shiney.

Her face had a little bit of fixing up. Her eyes have speckles of skin/eye dye in them from her potions splattering, like her skin. Its been long forgotten what her real eye color is.

Her entire Frame is wirey and underfed

And finally her bag has Trippled in size and needed a hip strap for extra comfort in carrying.


Things changed for Mr Fluffles:

"Mr" added to name


Bigger, fluffier, and grumpier looking.

Markings have been changed slightly, mostly in the face area.

Head and face altered for better expressions


So! There we go! "Madam Speeling and her assistant Fluffles" now actually look the way I ment them to the first time I drew them.

Bard Speeling and Mr Fluffles belong to me 8D
