Christmas Trolls 2014 - The Family Crest

Last year, as is Tradition now, I made our family Christmas Card. For that year, I designed our Family Crest... But included the Kid-Troll (from Previous Christmas Cards) as the Norwegian Troll since they have come to represent my family.

The Tree represents the Elm (Grandma's side of the family) And the Alder Branch (my grandpa's side of the family). Each shield represents one of their sons: The first is my Father, who's used to work on ships (thus the ocean) And is named Thor, after the god of thunder. My Uncle Rolf (meaning wolf) Works with Lasers for the space program (tracking things going up). My Uncle David works with Triton Subs, And his companies Submarines were used to find Giant Squid. He was even on the boat when people got to be the first human beings to see a live giant squid in its natural habitat up close and personal. My uncle Glen meanwhile is a Redfish fishing fan... And works as a manager for a paint company.

The zigzaggy pattern in the background means Water and mountains. The kransekake is kransekake... Cause its a massive part of our families tradition. The Whale is designed to be made out of pewter and Larvikite.
