Bright, shimmering scales slither in a serpentine, flight-like coiling patterns through the swirling crystal waters of the lake, and silently the red-copper dragon practiced for when it was his turn to take to the skies.

'Just one more lap, just one more dive.'
The Panlong told himself silently, 'One more leap and I will take to the skies.'

With that, he steeled his nerves and lept for the skies.

Falling back down with a splash, the dragon lifted his head to look to the sky with a chuckle, 'At least I made it higher then I did before... Perhaps another lap will do it.'
